Alex Griffin
Alex Griffin creates his landscapes that move among the past, present and future. Taking on multiple roles of painter, historian and storyteller, he reconstructs realities by inviting the viewer into imaginary scenes - a field, an urban landscape, a quiet walkway. His paintings have a cinematic effect and are filled with dreamlike imagery and structure. He builds up the surfaces of his canvases with layers of narratives and surrealist images. Griffin received a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Alex Griffin
Alex Griffin works primarily in oil and water based mediums. He works the canvas over and over until he feels that there is enough history left on the surface for there to be an impression of a struggle taking place. His source material is varied and consists of his own photography, collected photographs of American life from the late 19th century to present day and images from the internet. He seeks to discover the psychological currents living within these images through painting. Alex graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA. He currently lives in Philadelphia, PA.

Rebecca Scheuer
Scheuer is a wife, mother, and high school counselor. After a serious car accident in 2015, she started taking oil painting lessons as part of her vision therapy. She realized early on that painting brought her joy. Learning about color, value, and composition has helped her to see the world in a different way. Scheuer says that painting has provided an opportunity for her to be creative and relieve stress. She plans to continue learning and painting and enjoying her time in the studio.
