Donna Klimek Clement
Klimek Clement was born in Union, New Jersey. She studied fine art at Montclair State College, and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, with a degree in fashion design. Her self-taught watercolor skills escalated her career as a successful fabric print and screen art designer.
She was the initiating founder and past president of the Salem County Art League, aspiring to create an art community where local artists could share their work, have a community studio to paint in, take workshops, and support each other and their art.
The league currently has over 80 members.
Her sophisticated simplistic watercolor style depictions of the transformative effects of light and values, of the earth, sky, clouds, mountains, city streets, water, portraits, horses, and flowers are life-affirming.
Donna lives on her 60 acre farm now and enjoys the inspirations the local nature, farm and animals bring her.
